| MJ recovery
I have a lot of questions that I need answered about MJ recovery. -MJ and Sleep - I'm aware that MJ causes sleep disturbances upon quitting, and that they can last for a while. How long can I expect before I get a good night's rest and acutally feel rested upon waking up? -When can I expect my energy level, motivation, etc. to return? -When will I see the light at the end of the tunnel, aka, when can I expect to feel like myself again, and achieve what I want ot achieve? -I'm committed to quitting, but can I ever smoke again? I mean, after quitting and recovering for a while, and transitioning back into feeling like myself, will I ever be able to smoke like 1x a month, or will smoking truly interefere with a total recovery? -Please name anything and everything to help the recovery process go smoohter and easier. So far, I've been drinking alot of fluids, going to the gym and getting a lot of rest. -Lastly, will I ever forget how good smoking feels? Most of my problems stem from the fact that I'm upset cause I feel depressed because I'll never be able to get high again. Thanks, I appreciate all the reponses! |

Hi and welcome Tough questions. It's really difficult to predict the course of an individuals recovery.I think you are taking some good steps in taking care of yourself physically.Have you considered going to NA meetings? Some of us find 12 step recovery to be the key to changing our lives. The support is very helpful. You can check out some of the reading on the NA forum here. I can't tell you whether you will ever be able to smoke again.I can relate to your depression.Marijuana was my first love.Even after I gave up everything else,I tried to hang on to it.For me,it simply didn't work.I do believe you will miss it less as time goes by.Get busy with an active and healthy lifestyle, and that will help. Take care, and keep posting. phoenix |
