Hey guys I need a little more advice

Well I've done good so far and I've started going to NA meetings and stuff.

But for some reason, I've been 7 days without a dose of pain medicine and I'm still feeling bad.

And it seems like the withdrawal symptoms get worse everyday. Instead of waking up to feeling better and better each day, I feel more sick each day. It's very confusing to me because the last time I detoxed, I was back to 100% by the 5th day.

I decided to stay at home and cold turkey the detox rather than going to a detox clinic. I've been able to go this long without taking any kind of opiates, so I no longer feel the need to take them, yet I still feel really sick. And I'm sick of being sick lol. Any suggestions will be gladly appreciated. Thanks - John

Oh sweetie, it takes time. How much were you on? And for how long? You are just getting past the worst, by Monday, your physical symptoms will be mostly gone, but sometimes the depression and tiredness and PAWS last for a couple months or so. Not a major deal, just low level cr@p feeling. You can get antidepressants for it, or you can try some homeopathic stuff...

You have made it through the worst. I'm not sure if you exersise on a regular basis but getting out walking and or jogging can make a Huge difference, doing it even though everything in you says no!. Stay strong you'll be as good as new before to long!!

It will pass. You didn't get addicted in a week, so don't expect to get 100% better in a week, either. There will come a day, *very* soon most likely, where you'll start waking up feeling great. Have patience
