Can't Sleep I just tried to post this and it didn't show up cuz the internet cut off.. I ran out of my suboxone today, and i called the Dr. for a refill but she didn't get back to me, i feel like i should be stressing over this a lot more than i am right now, there is too much other stuff on my mind right now i guess, today has been easier than the last couple since i stepped my dosage down, the night, hell no, it's still awful, toss and turn, covers on, covers off, too hot, too cold, i feel beat, i've been in this content depression today, but now it just washes over me in huge waves of depression, that i'm not so content with.. something will cross my mind and then everything goes down the drain and i want to give up, then 10 minutes later i can be content to bear through everything till i come out on top, it's really wearing me down, anyways.. hope everyone in addictville is doing good.

Keep breathing man. If you can find anything to distract you- sometimes that helps. Just to take your mind off it- and posting here is always good

Just keep saying to yourself: Withdrawals are my friend. This experience of feeling crappy you're going through will prove to be the single most effective deterrent to screwing up again once you get clean, trust me on this point. So ... as I'm sure you've noticed ... tomorrow is the Fourth, then it's the weekend. Does this mean that you're hosed on your script until Monday? If so, perhaps this is a sign that 'it's time'. How much bupe have you been on lately, going back over the last month, what's the sched been like?

A bit of musical therapy for you ... YouTube - John Hiatt - Have A Little Faith Yeah, it's just a man (who just happened to be in early recovery from alcoholism when he recorded this tune), singing his song and playing his piano. But it is a thing of unparalleled soulfulness and simplistic beauty. Another track that's brought more than a few tears to my eyes over the years ...

Hi, Save yourself the trouble and agony. Also, chances are slim that you can do it on your own. I couldn't. (sorry for the brutal honesty, my honest op). Get yourself to rehab/detox today if you want to make a long story short. Free yourself and start living! Good luck.

| Wow… Rehab has sure change since I went in the eighties. Rehab lets you call an outside doctor to fill a scrip?. Don’t the rehab have there own medical staff?. I had to wait three months in rehab before I could make an outside phone call. Let alone get on a computer and email someone that could bring me drugs. I still go back to the rehab I graduated from. They have three computers in the vocational dept. To use those computers you have to be at a level three status. Anyway. Hang in there dude, we all went through the rough times. It gets better. | Hang in there Scott! It DOES get better! If it's going to be a few days until you can get a script filled you may want to just stop altogether now. After 3 days (for me at least), most of the really annoying w/d effects will have subsided and you'll be left only with some depression and trouble sleeping. The depression is highly dependent on the person, for me, it hasn't really been too much all out depression, however at the same time I haven't felt like really doing anything. So, sometimes I'll stare at the wall or my computer screen for long periods of time and just feel so bored I don't know what to do with myself. This, in turn, leads me to get a bit on the depressed side. As far as the sleeplessness goes, I'm still dealing with that and this is day 10 Oxy-Free for me. I've found a couple tricks that help but so far one of two things happens. I'll either toss and turn for hours and not get to sleep until around 3-4am or I'll fall asleep farily easily, yet wake up extremely early (4:30ish). Based on my experience, I'd say the insomnia is the hardest part to try and muscle through and will likely add to the depression you feel. It sucks, I know, but honestly getting it all done and over with within a few weeks to a couple months seems better to me than spending years slowly weaning off of Suboxone or Methadone. Once again this is all dependent on the person and brute forcing your way through this may not be the best for you, but then again it might be perfect if you can stick with it (I'm sure being in the clinic will help with that). As I started saying at the beginning of my post, if you're going to be without the subs for a few days, I'd recommend Trying to stick with it after that and just see how you feel. If after 4-5 days you're still feeling like total crap, you may want to go back on the subs. I know it sucks royally to not be able to sleep but hang in there, you can do this! You'll likely also be mighty proud of yourself when things are over and done with and you can finally get back to your life. |

Thanks guys, i think because it was sort of an unplanned absence of my suboxone my anxiety was really horrible and i found a pharmacy that was open for a few hours and called my Dr. maybe it will be more smooth when i'm more mentally prepared to stop completely, which is going to be in the next couple weeks, but i was pretty much freakin out when everything seemed to be closed and couldn't get a hold of my Dr.
