| Hello Everyone
Hello everyone. I am new to this site. I am on my second day of suboxone. I am also on probation and was getting away with opiates in my urine because of a medical issue of a sort. However I told them as of yesterday, I would no longer be taking opiates. So I guess my question is quite frankly the same as a lot of people here. Does anyone think that probation will go as far as testing for buprinorphine specificly? I dont want to tell them about the suboxone because they are trying to get me into the eye ret scan machine test but i cant get into it till I **** clean. I have to test on monday. Anyone else on probation taking suboxone? any input is great thanks again!

what is the eye ret scan machine test? never heard of that one. Are you saying you are taking subs illegally? Or do you have a script? If its prescribed, you shouldnt even be concerned. If its not, Im not 100% sure but I dont think many tests look for that, and the standard 5/6 test that most places give for sure do not.

Welcome to SR.com. Hope ya stick around, lots of great support here, and people who've been through it all and lived to tell about it. To answer your question, as t2r said above, if you have a script, you should have nothing to worry about. If you don't, I would recommend getting one. Your chances of being able to *stay* on bupe instead of falling back into using your drug of choice are much greater if you're getting them under the care of a doctor. This being said, it's fairly unlikely that bupe will turn up a positive on your standard probation-style pee-tests. It costs too much to test for bupe. But that doesn't mean you should go on taking it without getting a doctor involved. Do you want to get well from this disease, or do you just wanna buy yourself some time while you get tested, so that when it's over, you can go back to using and destroying your life? Just curious, ya know

BFL: Not typically in a urine test, or any other 'lower-end' mass-market kind of test that I'm aware of. Probably if you were getting your air-traffic controllers license or something like where they really give ya the full battery of tests they'd find it though.
