Good Morning & Happy Tuesday I finally feel well rested this morning... Even though I only got about 6 hours it was solid and that feels nice. I woke up and ran 5 miles without the ipod. I prayed and mediated on the third step much of the way... I went for almost 3 years without eating sugar and it was good... I fell off the wagon w/sugar a year ago and it has really been bothering me. Just for today I am turning sugar over to HP.... recovery=steady kids=happy friends=solid work=good bills=paid in full  pets=happy service=strong exercise=well done prayer/meditation=  I treated the world pretty well yesterday and so far today too. I am focused on giving and not taking..... Bad

We are finally getting the remnants of Fay. Had the tornado siren go off this morning by work, but just some nasty wind/rain. Driving home was NO fun, as there were wrecks on every interstate around Atlanta. Called my lawyer and he STILL hasn't filed the motion but will "try to get it done today". I'm going to keep calling him until he does it. Reminded him taht I am VERY FRUSTRATED about this, and would like some resolution. I'm trying to also remind myself that everything happens as it's supposed to, and maybe there's a reason for this delay....I just can't see it right now. Work is still dead, but I'm not going to stress about it...doesn't do any good. I did get to finish the book I was reading last night Rainy all day, going to sleep. Hugs and prayers! Amy

Waaaa, I don't feel good.... Went running this morning, my knee is starting to hurt which is what I was afraid of, went and found a pysiologist or whatever and he told me what to take for it. Went to work, and now need to find more work for this week. I don't know why I don't feel good, have a fever and feel like meh~~~~ Glad there are no hurricanes your way... those must be scary Lbad I dont know how you can run w/out your IPOD, I'd go mad.. lol Joe how you doin? okay i'm done now.

One of the people I love the most in the world (we are like brother/sister) who is still using tried to kill himself and is on life support in the ICU.. I am devestated... I thought when his sister called she was going to tell me he was dead.... damn...damn...damn....

Morning.... One foot in front of the other no matter what..... I am still devastated and angry this morning.... I am angry at the disease and the depression that consumes it's victims... I am devastated for his biological family and his spiritual family. I am hopelessly in love with this tender, beautiful man who has yet to find a reason to hold on... I will not give up hope. I know God has a reason for everything and sometimes I don't get to know the why's... I know that I believe at a molecular level even in the darkest times that God is everything... If you believe in the power of prayer please pray for "K" and his family. If you don't believe please believe that I do and pray anyway... Everything is already ok...even in the middle of chaos in my heart and mind... Running was so easy this morning. I was consumed with sadness and prayer..... I still get to go to work, parent my children, stay clean/sober, take care of Doo and Gracie and be of maximum service to the world. I treated the world pretty well yesterday and I am off to a pretty good start this morning.... Bad

Happy birthday ((Joe))!!! You're right...mine is next month. (((Lbad))) I'm so sorry about your friend. Sending lots of prayers to you, him, and all who love him. ((Done)) hope the knee is getting better, since that obviously puts a damper in your running! I hope you get to feeling better, soon. So, got into it with my boss this morning. He says I'm not claiming all my tips. Well, he's right, but I don't know of ANY server who does. I'm not making enough money to pay bills, and if I claim it all, I will simply get taxed more. We are not talking huge amounts....$10-$15 at the most! I had to go outside and take a break, because I was almost in tears I was so angry. On my way to the bank, I found my clock-out slips for the morning he was ranting about, took it back to him and showed him that he was wrong (nicely). Had a decent conversation, but it still irks me. Tonya (the one making way more money) is incredibly supportive, has told everyone what an awesome job I'm doing and took me in the bathroom to calm me down. She is also looking for another job. There is a convention in town that brought us a LOT of business last year and really good tips. If I do okay this weekend, I'm calling out Monday night. I know it's not honest to call in sick if you're not, but I need an extra mental health day. Besides, when I'm not there to do all the work that wasn't done the previous shifts, maybe my boss will see what all I do. He's upset if I get one minute of overtime, but then another manager offered to let me work today (who was in the office when boss talked about the OT). My hormones are driving me crazy, I'm taking natural supplements that are helping a lot, but I still don't think a job waiting tables is supposed to be more stressful than working as an RN in a trauma ER! Oh, and my favorite manager, D, came in last night and said his dog, Harley, was dying. Harley is 15, and hasn't been doing well, but I know it still hurts. I know I couldn't have gone into work if it had been one of my animals, so I really admire him. I'm okay, and I have been treating the world well. I have a lot to be grateful for, including my job, but will just have to work through the BS. As long as I do my part, things will work out. Hugs and prayers! Amy

{{Lbad}} Sorry to hear about your friend. I hate drugs and what they do to people. You are both in my thoughts and prayers. {{Amy}} That sucks about your boss. I don't know anyone who claims everything either, that is ridiculous. As far as I know and what everyone does is claim 8% or the whole credit card delio.... It doesnt really surprise me that waiting tables could be more stressful than working in the ER. I can understand that... Have a good day everyone, and Happy Happy Birthday {{Joe}}

5 Miles. Knees hurt. I am going to buy some stuff for them to feel better on Friday. But brain feels better, so there's a trade off... LOL.... I missed the Cleaner last night... oh well should be on soon. I was too busy watching Janice Dickenson. Cuz that's PRODUCTIVE..... I need a transplanted brain.

Morning, Thanks everyone for your prayers and good thoughts... No change in his condition. ((joe)) I hope you had a good birthday dear... ((amy)) much luv ((done)) my knees ache a bit too some days... usually it is my heels though.. I did the usual this morning and the whole damn way was a struggle... I only used the ipod for half my miles... the rest of the time I prayed. I work for the government and this morning I "get" to go take a big exam to stay active on a list for a promotion... I am not so excited.. lol Today is also counseling for the youngest daughter.. I don't "get" to go today.. the ex "gets" to. ((deep sigh)) Here I go.. Bad

Took the test and that was fine.. then worked all day, then took the girls to get their hair cut, then to the grocery store... now I am home finally and tired. No change on my friend.. Good morning! My money situation just improved a little bit Dad does merchandising (stocks/restocks and straightens up sunglass displays) in several stores within 100 miles of us. He has been getting so busy with the expediting, is having a hard time doing all the stores. I did this work before, but the company we were both working for went out of business. Anyway, I am going to take several of dad's stores, and it will be almost an extra $300/month. It's considered "self-employment", so no taxes are taken out, but I've been having an extra $40/month federal taxes taken out at work, so should be okay this year. Next year, I will have enough mileage with the stores that I can deduct more. The guy dad does this work for, is really cool and is more than glad to let me do the work. His daughter is an addict, in prison, so he's been watching MY progress closely, hoping his daughter will do as well when she gets out. This will help all 3 of us, and take off some of the stress I have at work when I'm not making enough $$. I'm going to break down and buy a GPS for my car. The one dad has was $400 when he got it, but now is only $150. We call it "the b**ch" because she's always talking It makes a HUGE difference, to me, in not getting lost when going to the small towns, and is a business expense.So, things are looking better in my little corner of the world Hope everyone has a good weekend! mmmmmmm - it's nice and sunny today and i have the weekend off (3 days!) 3 days to relax and get my head together. There is a really good na meeting on sunday evening so I'm looking forward to it in a big way. This morning my cat (Frisbee) brought a present into the house, a early autumn leaf. Heading into town in a few, to buy some good rain gear for the up and coming rainy season (nov - april)...yuk! lol Sometimes it'll rain for well over 2 weeks non stop here. I'm exhausted (metally) but clean! (((( Lbad,Amy,Done )))) big hugs for ya'll.

(((Joe))) - when I read Frisbee brought in a present, I was thinking of some poor bird or something..I like the autumn leaf MUCH better Just wanted to check in real quick. Work was much better last night, actually made good money and had great customers, even though I found out the convention is downtown so we didn't get any of them. I've spent the entire day in the ER with Brit and stepmom. Brit has a sore throat (has had strept several times), fever, aches; stepmom has been in excruciating pain with her back and couldn't walk. Was NOT thrilled to spend all day there, but both are taken care of now. I have to question a dr. who gives a 15-year-old 20 lortab 10mg for a throat infection!??!?!?! She got antibiotics, too. Stepmom got a shot directly into her back, feels MUCH better, and her OWN lortab Rx. Brit is back at her friends, stepmom and I are about to go to sleep, and Elvis is perched on me. Sitting in an ER, at a hospital I used to work in their ICU, was hard...lots of memories of how I screwed up. But, also a reminder of what I'm trying to get back, and the only way to do that is keep doing what I'm doing. So, I'm okay with it all. Just very tired, and have to work until 11 tomorrow morning. Boss argued with me about what pay rate I was clocked in at, I finally told him to check the computer in the back....I was right. I'm hoping he will just let me go home at my regular time, in the morning, since he's on a NO OVERTIME kick. Hope everyone is having a great weekend. Trying to keep updated on Gustav, since a few SR buddies live in LA. Hugs and prayers! Amy
