I have decided to stop playing doctor and seek medical advice/supervision for detoxing from oxycode/heroin. Ive tried every remedy out there and not a one has worked. I took what will hopefuly be my last 15mg dose of oxy to avoid getting sick about an hour ago. I have an appointment @ the VA @ 2pm tommorow.

I am a touch scared, but mostly releived, thanx for alowing me to rant.

My doc and I have decided to start suboxone treatment on thursday. I dont know what to think. However it is a releiving feeling to have made a decision.

I was up to 10-15 30s/day and decided to check into treatment and i had insurance but it took me days on the phone trying to find a center and getting a appt. Ofcourse i waited till i was rock bottom and withdrawing before i started the proces,it took a week to get a appt. i was broke and couldnt get anything so i detoxed on my own and ened up not going. Looking back i wished i would have gone because i continued to strugle for months with small amounts.now i have 8 well in a few hrs it will be 9 days clean. Seems silly to count the hrs but after what ive been through i need all the credit i can get.

Update,
I go in for my first treatment tommorow. I used last night to avoid getting sick once again. I am begining to feel the all to familiar symptoms of w/d right now, but it feels great to know that I will be dealing with it in a different way tommorow, I hope and pray this will be the last time I am dope sick.
