Look if you're really upset and want to talk to someone in private, go to their name, click on it, and hit send a private message. If they're on at that time, they'll most likely respond. If they're not on, most people will get back to you as soon as they can. We want to help.

Hi Fin, So glad you came here. If you have a job with health benefits, you can call you provider and get the name of someone to go see to get help. If you are feeling hopeless, you may want to go to inpatient treatment. There is life after drugs. I know. I was in outpatient for coke back in 1986. I quit coke but kept drinking and ended up doing a long-term outpatient 2 years ago for my alcohol use. Sometimes it takes a while for the clouds to clear, but I'm sure if you got a couple weeks healthy behind you, you would see everything in a whole new light.

Fin. Most of have been right were you are right now. I know that right now things appear hopeless. Things are not hopeless. Many of us were at the bottom and many of us cleaned up and are now happy. It can be done. I was an emotional wreck, at the point of death, slobbering, miserable, a junkie in despair. Shrinks couldn't help me, preachers couldn't help me. I had to just ask friends and family for help. I went to detox then rehab and today I'm alive. That was almost 5 years ago. The point of entry for help is Alcoholics Anonymous and/or Narcotics Anonymous for many people. There is a meeting in your town. If you can't get help from friends and family go to an AA or NA meeting and ask for help. You can get better and your addiction can be over. Good luck.
