Oh sweetie, I'm sorry.

But the one day does not take away from the 60 days you had.

Make this just a one day slip okay? That's it, just a slip.
Start back fresh.... Try not to dwell on it, and just Keep on Going....

I did the same as you after almost 14 months but by the grace of God I'm clean... and you will be too.

Don't be too hard on yourself.

I met a woman in a recovery group whose brother died of alcoholism; she found his body and while she waited for the coroner to come, she drank all the alcohol in his house she could find. She was horrified at herself and couldn't understand why she did it. I do. She's an alcoholic and she fell down hard under the pressure of finding her brother like that.

I told that story not for the horror of it, but to let you know how powerful this disease is.

cunning...baffling...powerful. The 3 most important words in trying to understand addiction.

Sadly..I diod something similar to this.. I wrecked my truck in 2003. When I called home found out my gramps had just passed. Had to go hit the dealer first. Walked strait to my room and got high before looking at the body and saying my goodbyes. Then had the Hospice lady take me a drop me back off in the neighborhood and left my grams all alone.
Very low point in my life. Couldnt even cry I was so high. Pitiful really.
I would never do that if I werent using.

I have never had more than 60 days in a 20 year addiction. This past year has been the worst for relapses. But it is a new year. And I am going to make it past 60 days and then some. You can do it too. Dont dwell on it. Thats just going to pull you down. Always pick yourself back up. And never stop trying!!

Our sick minds. How often we test to see if we are ready to handle it one more time. All the justifications, the methodic planning, just to have the notion that we are healed.I am sorry to say,for this there is no cure, no time when we will be able to do it successfully.Think of this as a moment in time, nothing more.Move on and learn to accept that this is a lifelong ailment with no cure, however there is treatment.God Bless.

I did 90 days several times before quit for +1 year. It doesn't erase your progress. Relapse is a symptom of the addiction. Those 60 days weren't wasted. What you learned then will help you in the future. Good luck.
