| My doctor prescribed Robaxin 750mg twice daily for my lower back and pelvic pain. It's a muscle relaxer. Just wanted to know if anyone has ever had to take it. Any feedback appreciated. Thanks, ~B

Hi Butterfly - I have taken Robaxin before. It IS a muscle relaxer, but has a lot less potential for abuse/addiction than some of the others (like Soma). Of course, I had a tendency to abuse ANYTHING (1 is good, more is better). My doctor is aware that I'm a recovering addict and will prescribe me very little of anything, with no refills, and I'm glad of that. I have a ruptured disc in my back that flares up every now and then. I would prefer Robaxin or Flexeril, just because they don't do anything to me mentally, like Soma does. For me, Soma relaxes me mentally, too, and I try to stay away from it. I don't remember any side effects of Robaxin, but that doesn't mean there aren't any. Most muscle relaxers can make you sleepy....or maybe they just relax you enough so you can sleep. Hugs and prayers! Amy
