spiritual awakening or religious experience or what?

I had this strange experience the other night, I was laying on the couch and everything was quiet and it was like this force went thru my body and then I started to cry, then closed my eyes and saw Jesus and after it was over I had this great feeling of relaxation and feeling a kind of peace I had never experience before. Has anybody experienced anything like this? Would it be a spiritual experience or maybe I am just crazy? Any comments appreciated

Sounds like it was one or the other.

I'd go with the religious experience angle.

It sounds a whole lot better than just being crazy

You mean you literally saw Jesus? Like, just standing there? I think that's a religious experience by definition.

Skeptics may say "a hallucination" and they may very well be right as well--but God is clever enough to work indirectly through secondary mechanisms if He chooses.

When I saw Jesus I had my eyes closed so I dont know if that is a hallucination or what and it was king of foggy and I only saw his face.

I would say neither. Jesus is not about religion. He is about having a relationship with you. You felt His presence, you saw Him, and you experienced the peace that only He could give you. The peace that passes all understanding.

I for one am curious ... what exactly does Jesus look like?

Did he have the beard and long flowing hair?

Robes, were there any ROBES?

Was he kinda ruggedly handsome, just like in the picture in the front of a Bible I once owned?

And is it true he was actually the single Caucasian person who lived within 1000 miles of Nazareth at the time he reportedly lived?

I'm very excited to find this all out

I've always wondered that myself. These paintings we see were done by people who were born long after he died, so what do they know? The paintings all overdo it, they make him look like a rockstar. I imagine he was humble and unassuming. Sort of like my accountant Melvin. Picture George Costanza with a beard.

All the paintings I see of J-Dawg make him look like Errol Flynn. I know he couldn't look like that. He prolly looked like my friend Khalid the Lebanese dude who works at the falafel place.
