Last June, when I came out of the hospital, I went into an IOP group and met a wonderful guy. We sat in that room for 4 weeks, three hours a night, three nights a week, and then we continued on to the same 12 group. He had a 22 year heroin addiction as did his brother. He's doing great. Sadly, I just got back from his brother's funeral. He fell down. He was only 56 with two teenaged children. I just wanted to share this because it moved me. His 83 year old mother had to lose her son to this terrible disease and it really hit home to me what can happen. Thanks for letting me share. |
