Update

well boys and girls the king has returned with an update on my situation

for those of you who dont know my father a recovering addict, he has done EVERYTHING you can think of and quite possibly some stuff none of us even have HEARD of

but today I got a letter (I know eh a letter why didnt he just e mail me?) he has got his high school diploima (sp) which is something I could sware he already had he sent me a copy and a picture, of him in his graduation robe

in short

MY DAD IS STILL CLEAN THATS OVER 2 YEARS MAYBE EVEN 3

Wow... that is excellent. He must be very proud, and wants you to be proud of him, too. I am guessing there aren't too many of those kind of moments for him to share with the ones he loves.

I am fine, got accepted to college, dont drink as much as I used to (not really sure why that I dont think I have a problem and nor does anyone els around me) there is gonna be a new addition to my family, everything in my life is GREAT now if only I could get into slightly better shape.

How wonderful! Thanks for sharing, it gives me hope that my sister will do that well; she's 41 days clean (I think, I have a hard time keeping up lol)... and I can always use more sources of hope!

I think its sweet that he wrote you a letter!! something you can actually hold in your hand!! The lost art of letter writing..sounds like he just misses and loves you and wants you to feel proud of him..Being a addict parent really is hard...we want so much for our kids to love us and guilt about the parents we are when using is hard to overcome. I hope someday that my oldest daughter Fawn will want a relationship with me, but her life was pretty rough when she was young because of my drinking..she can't forgive me ..and that is just where she is at in her life..Someday I pray that she will come around to me . Maybe I will write her a letter!!!
So can I ask what you meant when you said , you want to get in better shape?? Do you feel bad from the drinking ?? Or maybe you meant you want to start working out ????
So where is the new addition coming from??
Are YOU going to be a parent????????????????????? SMILE!!

when I say I wanna get in better shape I mean I gotta work out again.

and no I am not gonna be a parent but my cousin is having a baby and I am SO HPPAY for her I LOVE kids if I can afford it I want 20 kids and that is NOT a lie ( i know I sound like either a gay guy or a female believe me I am neither LOL I am 100% stright)
