so I've recently quit smoking pot after 4 years of heavy every day use and quit taking adderall after 2 years of taking about 60 mg a day I felt great for a while.. but now my bulimia has gotten worse than ever I think about food constantly it's horrible.. I'm so depressed that I'm worse off than when I was a pothead the depression keeps me from doing things that need to be done.. I really don't know what to do when I took the adderall I ate healthy in small amounts all day and felt happy it ceased my binging and the weed gave me something else to do instead of eat when I was distracted.. I try workign out but by the time I get home from work I am too full / tired to do anything but get upset with myself.. I'm open to ANY suggestions.. Help! I almost feel like taking the adderall and smoking a fat bong right now.. but I've come way too far.. WHAT DO I DO??

sweets: i assume you´re a girl, I cannot say much o f bulimia or adderall, but for pot i smoked heavily 18 years, been clean amost 7 months. I got very depressed also the first 3 moths clean, after you get used to it, i also i lost appetite I am an athlete and i don´t reccomend you working out if you suffer from bulimia, cause you body doesn´t have enough glucose to produce the energy. Also i mazed smoking pot didn´t give you munchies, as for now the most important thing is to eat, maybe if you need that bong so bad to get some appetite.....do it. I don´t understand bulimia, super skinny girls are not attractive at all, my girl friends who excercise eat well and plenty, and have a nice figure. When I finish riding my bike I eat like a pig all I want and never gain a pound. So if you´re going 2 work out, eat well and plenty please!!!!, so first fuel your body right, and when you´re ready, quit the pot. be well |

well, what were you on adderall for? of course adderall is speed, when you stopped taking it, you are going to lose some "energy" and gain some hunger, therefore increase your bulimia if you were taking it because it was prescribed for a reason, then why did you stop? if you were abusing it, then it may just take some time for your body to adjust. i'm the opposite of the others, i don't know a thing about pot, lol, but do know about adderall. how long ago did you stop? just wondering....

I've been doing a lot of research today about weed use.-I'm off all opiates, ambien, am titrating off klonopin (under the care of an MD) but pot was more difficult than the others so far to stop. I've been finding a lot of research suggesting that pot/hash these days is really potent and when heavy users stop, withdrawal symptoms happen. There is also a 12 step program called Marijuana Anonymous. It seems that addressing bulimia is pretty important since it looks like both adderrall and pot have been ways (in addition to addiction) to manage bulimia.
