Appointment

Well I got my appointment for my assessment (which is mandatory before they assign you to the rehab that best suits your needs). Its on July 23rd so not as long as I thought it would be. Then again its rehab that has a long list not really for assessments. If I decide I want outpatient they can set me up with that as well. They deal with both mental health issues and addiction ones which is what I was looking for.

I even made it to work after laying in bed for two hours this morning but I dragged my @$$ out and forced myself to come in and i'm glad I did.

Only thing now is my dad doesn't believe I'm an addict. He said if I had motivation I could just stop and that since i'm not doing it everyday anymore i'm certainly not an addict because I posess some kind of self control. Its really frustrating.

do your rehab programs include a family session/component? sounds like your dad could use a nudge to alanon? it's hard on our side of addiction. as a mom, i understand your father's denial issues.
