Hi Liz - I was a smoker for a long time, and after I quit using I smoked a lot more and craved sugar constantly. I finally quit smoking in March 2006 and it's been a struggle, like all addictions. I think it's great that you want to stop smoking and I wish you lots of luck; however, my best advice is to be careful about making too many changes at once. You might find it easier to quit smoking when you can devote all your effort to it and for now concentrate on staying clean. Just a suggestion, of course - if you can do both more or less at the same time, more power to you!

I am a smoker also. My kids get on my nerves all the time, saying "ma why don't u quit? Just don't smoke ma1!" It is hard. I don't smoke much, and can go thru a whole wkd of not smoking but then I am done for!

Hey Liz! I smoke like a chimney myself. I work for an Internal Medicine doctor and he prescribes Chantix for patients wanting to quit smoking. I hate reccommeding a pill but it's VERY effective. It's not addictive. But it's worth a shot. It's help a LOt of our pt's. I'll post the link. Alos google Chantix patient reviews. http://www.chantix.com/content/Chant...d_Homepage.jsp Keep me posted if ya decide to try it. Best of luck!
