Hey every one I am still not able to stop taking the soma its crazy and taking over things like 2 yrs ago w/ the AMBIEN addiction ! I dont know I know if I really want to stop I can but I dont want to Im using it to relieve stress from probation and work and life in general. NOT GOOD. I am seeing a counsler for my anorexia. thats a start. i feel like ill overdose on the somas but thats not stopping me. I dont know what to do i realy dont ( thanks for reading!!!! M

Do you have the means to go to a residential treatment facility for the anorexia that is dual-diagnosis to work on addiction too. you have admitter you are powerless and out of control. This is not something you can do on your own. seek treatment facility.

Please be careful. Taking to much Soma can knock you unconcious. It happened to me.

soma can kill you real easy. the heart is a muscle and soma is a muscle relaxer. kicking soma ain't that hard. the withdrawals are short term. please try and get some medical help and quit that garbage.

thanks 4 all reply's I just dont see how i got back in this crap after 2 years clean! I think i need to tell my docs when i sprained myback and knee and ankle that i dont want any meds just Ibuprofen. or naproxen. I dont want to end up like Anna Nicole. I cant go to re hab while on probation they might revoce me but I can go to lots of counsiling and groups. thanks for your support it helps soooooo much!

I've learned (the hard way) that you have to tell your doctors about your addictions. It's hard and it's humbling, but it makes it easier to keep you on the straight and narrow.

ibuprofen works real good and don't get ya high.

I was prescribed Soma once, I'm not knocking you and pray you get off the stuff because I remember I felt more like SH*T after taking it, the back pain was easier to deal with! My legs were wobbly, I couldnt concentrate, I was like a 5 year old in a 95 year old body. All I did was sleep, and even after I woke up I had to drink protien shakes for 2 days to shake it off.

I never had a soma problem, took it once, hated it, threw it out. It's the brussel sprout of meds to me

Kicking any addictive substance can be difficult at best...when we actuallly want to. When we're unsure if we want to, well the odds are pretty good that we won't, at least not now. And then the choice appears to be harder and harder until the choice appears to be gone.
Self medicating stress always leads me to addiction; from which I have a harder and harder time coming back.
If your probation gets revoked, it's because you made some bad choices. Keep making them ,and your life can get revoked.
Think this through, carefully, while you are still in a position to make some good choices. Withdrawal can be tough, but not impossible.
