If anyone here ever needs to talk

In the short time I have been here, you all have been great. I really do want to give back, and if anyone ever needs to talk I'm a great listener.

Keep in mind I run a business, so I may not be around all the time. At the very least though I will respond to your email to at least let you know I'm listening, and will respond as quickly as I can. I also have IM on my smartphone(the ones listed in my signature) We all can get through this together. - Chris

Hi Chris. I wanted to say thanks for the offer and may take you up on it. But also wanted to let you know there is some really wierd folks out there that are really sick and twisted. There is a sticky in another forum that i just thought to share with you.

http://www.soberrecovery.com/forums/...predators.html (WARNING! Internet predators)

But on the other side you are so nice to want to help others just be careful. And also if you look up some peoples profile here on the board you will see a list of email or instant messages that you can reach certain people. That way its not available to just everyone who is surfing the internet. You have to be a member of this board to get access to these accounts.

Wow, interesting reading.

I grew up from the school of hard knocks, so I can pretty much spot a scam right away. I'm 38 years old and if you take a look at my photo I dont think any predator will want to mess with me. I'll never give anyone $ for any reason as well. Just posted my email and IM, and personal site with no ph# or address info, and its a sublkinked site so if anyone tries to look it up on network solutions they wont find any personal info either.

I just want to help, and if anyone tries to scam me they will be wasting thier time, not mine... - Chris

P.S. Gwen, anytime.

What time do you usually wake up? if you wake up at 3-4pm to go to work and that is normal for you to have breakfast thats fine. Any high protein cereal with low sugar good, smart starts or mueslex are good for starters. Make sure to take vitamins, especially b-12 for the nervous system and potassium for leg cramps if you are coming off withdrawal or PAWS.

Long work night, gonna get some sleep and hopefully catch the met yankeee game today if I dont have to go back to work! -Chris

No man, I meant that I don't eat till 4 in the afternoon..drink coffee all day though..I just don't ake very good care of myself lately.
I got some protein smoothie drinks called "Naked" . Drinking one now and took a vitamin B. I need to do more research on the proper diet for Hep C. I have had it for about 8 years now so it is starting tt rear its ugly head . I have legcramps without the withdrawal..I have some potassium and just took one of them too.
Thanx Chris I will pick up a box of that cereal today..even though it does look like kitty kibble....yuck...

{{{Chris}}}You sound like a genuinely good guy.... Reaching out and helping others is what has helped me achieve and maintain sobriety. It has worked quite well too.

(((Grateful Hugs))) for folks like you and all the others that have helped so many of us find a saner path. G-d Bless.....
