I love you. it's not a weight you must carry around.
I love you. it's not a box that holds you in.
I love you. It's not a standard you have to bare.
I love you. it's not a sacrifice I make.
I love you. It's not a pedestal you are frozen upon.
I love you. It's not an expectation of perfection.
I love you. It's not my life whole purpose.
I love you. It's not your life whole purpose.
I love you. it's not to make you change.
I love you. it's not even to make you love me.
I love you. It's as pure and simple as that.....
I LOVE YOU.

AA Reflection for the day-
No matter what it is that seems to be our need or problem, we can find something to rejoice in, something for which to give thanks. It is not God who needs to be thanked, but we who need to be thankful. Thankfulness opens new doors to good in our life. Thankfulness creates a new heart and a new spirit in us.
Do I keep myself aware of the many blessings that come to me each day and remember to be thankful for them?
Today I will remember- Thank and give thanks...

Hello from sunny South Africa. I've just joined this site today...and it's very cool, learnt a lot Hope to meet and chat with you all and avoid relapsing of course so here's a bit of an insprirational poem I wrote a while back..
Change
A Glass Window
Peering through
You see the soul breathing in the light of the sun
Giving it life and colour
Such is the picture of innocence
All colours bright and beautiful
Suddenly A stone is cast...
SMASHING...LOUD...BREAKING..CRACKING
A stunned silence follows
Blurred,cracked images
Are all that one sees
Through the brittle pain of broken glass
Many walk past
Too busy searching
Their souls blinded
By too many stones...too many cracks
Searching to find that light
That their souls used to breathe
Then like the changing of seasons
A new, stronger window is SUDDENLY found!
Driven by wisdom and a yearning for life it is rebuilt
Revealing the soul once again
Colours and light reflecting
An innocence that was always there

"When we admit complete defeat, and when we entirely become ready to try the principles of The Program, our obsession leaves us and we enter a new dimension- freedom under God, as we understand Him."
