I guess that time helps to heal... but i don't believe we heal 100% there is always that void that can never be filled as the way things were before. she used to love that artist jewel. and every now and then i hear her misic at a store or someplace and it gets me teary eyed. her favorite song was silver springs by fleetwood mac.

Hi Mywife; I thought I'd posted here several days ago and when I came to check in I don't see my post. I'm so sorry about that. You and your family are still in my thoughts and I feel terrible that I didn't check sooner. On a more positive note, you reminded my of the song "Silver Spring" I love that song and I just got an Ipod so I downloaded it. I'll think of greeneyes now when it comes on. |

Hey brother. My heart goes out to you and your daughter. We're always here if you need support. Glad to see you're holding up better than I ever would.

tthank you very much. i still come here even though i don't really need to anymore. but i am glad that Dawn made a difference in at least 1 person that comes here. I hope she inspires others to try and keep clean for themselves and for their families. we went to the airport this past july 4 for fireworks... and it just wasn't the same without her there with us. but i know she was there in spirit.

I have 62 days clean frome meth. I wish not using was my only issue this time. God, I wish not using was the only thing I had to deal with! I'm trying to move forward with my life, I am now realising that 20 something years of drug abuse screwes up more things than I ever realized. Everybody who knows me say's "oh my god!..you look great!", and thinks I have a grip on things...i'm working again, and seem to be doing well...and I am. I don't believe I am in danger of using any time soon, but I feel this impending (DOOM).I have sOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much trouble asking for help. Everybody wants to talk to me when I'm feeling on top of things, and I truly do believe that people realy do need me now(for the first time in years!), but when I start feeling down, it seems as though every body backs way off......even those at 12 step meetings. Maybe its just me...I do know I have allot of work ahead of me....VIVA LA EVOLUTION!!!!!!!!!!!! "No man knows how trully evil he is, untill he tries verry hard to be good"...C.S. Lewis

Matt, I don't think people in the meetings are backing off, I have felt that way at times too. We will talk before the meeting tomorrow, ok? Hang in there!

madd11matt, Looks like you're new here at SR (Sober Recovery). This is a good place. Many people are going through what you're going through and many people have gone before you and tell you how it was and is for them. You are not alone. I never used Meth, but unfortunately I know a lot about it and it's damage. I lost a very close and trusted friend to it and have seen many others use. You wish not using was your only issue but it's not. But don't underestimate how good not using really is. You have made a huge huge great step. Congratulations on 62 days! And congratulations on realizing that there is more to sobriety than not using. Hang in there. You can do this. I have personally seen people successfully quit Meth. It didn't solve all their problems, but it got them to a point where they could work on their problems. |
