thank you all. my bike went in to be redone. won't have it for a couple of weeks. grrrr. i rode it in sunday. when i get it back it will be like new. i think i will go post on the biker section. greeneyes was such a harley girl. i went through some cards a couple of months ago from people who went to her funeral. they thought that Dawn was a beautiful person that was different. I first met her outside a hospital i used to work at. i was waiting for a friend "female" i was single at the time. i am sitting at the bench when she walks out from the hospital with heavy feet and don't gide a crap about anything attitude. her biker mood. when she felt unhappy or just angry she would wear the black clothes combat boots and biker stuff. she even had a harle shiled tatooed on her arm. she had like 7 or 8,, she loved them.i started talking to her in a friendly way and asked what was wrong and she told me some stuff then i asked her about music sh
, and she told me the kind of misidc she listened to. i said their war a korn tribute band playing would she like to go she said yeah. she was discharged and i didn't have her number.a few weeks go by and i am going to the bench after work to wait for a friend when i spy a couple of combat boots. i think to my self could it be. i go over and lo and behold it is her.we maid a date for that night when i went to pick her up i didn't recognize her at first. she had on a nice lowcut dress hair done up and body glitter high heels and tiny little purple collored and silver body glitter. i could not believe she was the same person. she was blond at the time.

i just put up a dream i had about Dawn in the nightmare insomnia area. I just had this dream about half an hour ago. i miss her.

Our daughter is taking karate and is now an orange belt. she is 7 years old now. ironically the dojo used to be one of Dawn's bars she loved to go to. it has been converted into a dojo. It is a mixed feeling for me sometimes because I know how she loved it when it was a bar. but if there is an afterlife and they can walk among us then I think she is always there for her when she practices her lessons.

thanks. tomorrow we are going to gather art her grave and release balloons in the air.did it last year also. her aa friends will be there also.

I sorry about your lost.I had to share because I lost my children father in sept. from A methadome overdose. I'm a addict that been clean for 18 months but this is the first na meeting i shared or attended i don't know why i don't attend because i need it because i be having so much going on with me as far as life. My husband is a addict that is in a program until June then we come back as one. me and my husband is codepented on each other in a good and bad way. we start out doing good but we in up falling back into our addiction again. we been clean for 5 years together but we fall back into our addiction. I love my husband but i want to change our crazy behavior once we come back as one. That is the first problem in my life I also have my family that I love but is so sick that we can't be around one another. My children that I'm staying with be abusing me in away that they think it's a joke but deep down inside it hurts because I don't want to be down graded with the words they say to me. I have come so far but it's in my mind sometimes that i won't feel all this hurt if i was high. But then i think about the pain it cost me when i was getting high. I am so overwhelmed with life right now because they call on me to do everything that makes me forget about myself. I haven't had me time since I been clean. And I'm not going to talk about my children father that decided to kill himself leaving me and his family with us burring him with no insurance it was crazy and overwhelmed. I'm sorry for venting on your page but I had to get that off my chest. thank you for letting me share

in 10 more days it will be 4 years since Dawn will have passed on. at this time of the year I feel a bit down. but I am doing ok.can't get to her grave because of all the snow. it has not been plowed and there is just too much snow there and can't find her grave without digging out a few others, lol sounds like grave digging. but it does get a little easier, but dating is still a bit difficult for me. I guess I am having problems still with moving on. but I go at my pace.

Hi Mywife....I can't believe it's been that long either. I got to SR shortly after Dawn passed away. I remember that it had a real impact on me. Thank you for continuing to share with us here on SR. Much love and peace for you.

thank you for remembering her. her death did touch a few on here, so if it did help some me here it was not in vain. not that it was good that she died...but good that it helps and not just a death for nothing. I don't know if that is coming across the right way.

I lost my sister to drugs March 2010 and I am still having a tough time.

She would have turned 39 on Monday; Feb 21st (in 2 days)

today marks the 4th year of Dawn's passing... we are going t her grave today at 2:30 and release balloons with notes on them just like we did last year, I think this year there will be a few more people than there were last year.
