kj0975 and Misti, You are both right - they are pretty and they are purdy. Thanks for saying so to a doting dad. I'd fight a bear with my bare teeth for my daughters...and possibly win! KJ0975, and I bet you thought ALL hillbillies' kids looked like the ones on the movie "Deliverance." Ha. Considering my looks, I figured I'd have to adopt to get kids this cute! Just kidding, I am not purty, but I am not HARD to look at...... But, they both do have my athletic ability. Both of them are the fastest runners in their classes. (I always was too... and so were both my older brothers - my oldest brother played Pro football, he was real tough and somehow, he still has all his teeth....) Savannah can really outrun all the boys even in the sprints, and especially in the one-mile run they have to do every now and then......she laps a bunch of them.... I feel a little sorry for the boys, you know, getting beat "by a girl." We BAD, but we are not kin to ourselves, ha. (I checked!) ah, ha. ![]() ![]()

ccgirl and Slightly Batty, Thank you for the compliments. It's amazing what a really good lens can do, eh? Blur out the background completely - in photography it's called (bokeh,) and some lenses are better at it than others - and it's always the $$$ high-dollar ones, ha. The grey shirt photo was at a baseball game and there are a ton of people in the background, but the lens just bokeh-ed them out.... When I was a young-un, my folks could not afford to take many photos of me. Especially with me being the last of 4 kids. I bet I have only 5 or 6 photos total of me as a kid (besides the annual school photos).... I made a promise to myself, that will not happen to my kids........I stick a camera in their face every chance I get......make copies and spread them around with my relatives for safety's sake. 'Till later, have a GREAT day, ya hear?

Misti, Cool, I'll take a look at that site...although, I never win in ANY photo contests, as a photographer in the Air Force Photographer constests when I was in the Military. Your daughter is cute and pretty, is she painting her toenails???? My kids LOVE to do that... Misti, yesterday you said 'I think I know you.' Did you mean by now putting a face (photo) to my writings, or do you think we have ACTUALLY met some place???? Are you feeling any better.... I am finding out that a lot of people around here are sick too - there is a stomach thing going around and an upper respiratory illness going around. I hope they "keep going around me," and not stopping for tea......

Misti, By the way, do you see that Veteran's Memorial Wall behind my girls in this photo? All the bricks are inscribed with local Veteran's names, outfits, and dates of service. With an attraction like that, I sure you'll want to include a visit to this Memorial in your next vacation plans....like sure, who gets vacations???? I have one on there just a little to the left of the redhead.

Misti, I am sorry you are getting sicker, YUK! Ear infections can hurt so bad, they'll drive you mad.... The V word is Veterans, like in ex- U.S. Military. So, my face looks familiar, huh? I guess we could have met somewhere years ago, especially if you were in this area...I do not come to Dallas area much.. See ya, and hope you get to feeling better....

I too, have two beautiful little girls (one actually got offered a modelling contract with a children's agency, until they took pics of her and let's just say the camera doesn't love her so much) but I'm too computer challenged to show pictures. Never could figure out how to do it. GRRR

ccgirl, My girls are not "model material" although the redhead is unique just because of that, and the older one has "perfect" freckles right now, hum. But, a lot of those children modeling agencies are just scams to get your money$$$$ If you have a digital camera, or digital images on your computer, it's easy!!! I could walk you through it...

ccgirl, Works for me! My daughter was born with FLAMING orange hair...the nurses came running from down the hall to see this girl.. But now, it is starting to turn more of a Strawberry-Blonde, which is also pretty and unique.
