| Went for my drug test..
I am very confused about what the nurse said and I am obsessing. I read that for the job applicant screen they test for 1. opiates (do you think Tramadol will show up?) 2. PCP 3. marijuana 4. cocaine 5. and amphetamines I read under reasonable suspicion they test benzos, barbs, narcotics, alcohol and the above. Why did the nurse tell me that Valium might show up on the preemployment screen? Is she a moron that doesn't know her drug classifications like we do. Then they said if anything showed up my orientation would be delayed and theres a long process. I have taken valium during the past week and Tramadol. Do you think I have anything to worry about? I know I'm obsessing but I really want this and want to start Monday. The obsessing worry wart, Liz |

As far as the Ultram goes, I don't think that it shows up in a standard urinalysis drug screen, but it can be tested for. Now the Xanax is a different beast. I've never been on them, but I have heard that benzodiazapines, like Xanax, Valium, Ambien, etc. stay in your system for quite a while. But according to what you read, they don't test for benzos except for reasonable suspicion. So, I'd say you haven't got anything to worry about as far as your drug test goes. But that's just a drug addict's opinion

If you have a legitimate Rx, you should be fine, Liz. Now, how about taking that energy you are spending worrying and putting it toward your recovery? Hang in there, it really does get better.

If they find a lot of Valium and/or Tramodol then you'll be too sick for them.

Hey Liz sweetheart, long time so see!!!! I wanted to tell you that when I was in detox, i had taken a couple of xanax, and a wicked amount of tram the day before, I tested positive for benzos but absolutely no opiates, I just dont think tramadol shows up as an opiate, I hope that helps, love you

it seems to me ...that if you are concerned about the results than maybe you have a reason to be concerned...as said if you have not been abusing or obtaining these meds illegally there should not be a problem..
