Three Flights

Before i was an addict, fighting for my family, the addicts and my Mother who fought in terms of giving out, and helping. There was a house the family ownerd where all three flights were active users in crack cocaine, other drugs...I have other poems on addiction to other, I'm a dark poet, anyway I never thought I would become an addict, it is very important for those who are not and fighting for the one you love, your addict that I once was in your shoes and now on the other side where the grass never grows and being a drug addict is a sentence to us, it is the ball and chain, we are traped, we suffer before we turn out lifes over, then the nightmare turns into a murky shadow that follows us, taunting us to go back where there is no growth, where the grass on the other side never grows....

THREE FLIGHTS

Three Flights, death row
Just a few more hits of formed powder
They look out windows, paranoid
See black crows lurking in the dead trees
begging for souls to be unleashed
Three Flights, this house
madness, craving, endless
Dial the dealer now!
quiet they walk in circles
eyes looking downward for a crumb
sounds of clicking lighters
Dead end street-Dead end life's
Enter the splintered door
where splintered brains explore
see them go insane, I've been inside
She now exhales, see the demon smoke?
death smiles she is near
Smokey room
She graduated to powder brown
she drifts, sinks into blackness
where no-ne can reach her!

To my family, I now know.
