April 25-2009 ...........

A day of celebration and reflection for me.
At my noon AA meeting I will be presented with a 20 year medallion.

Wow! What a fantastic awesome journey this has been

From big city AA....in D.C. to large town in Fl. to Ga. small town
the strong bond and fellowship of AA has been a constant for me.

The rooms changed....accents varried...formats differed
but I was always welcomed and understood.

In '92 I found a great additional resource in cyber sites.
I've been a SR member for almost 7 years
and grateful to serve as a Forum Leader.
It's an enhancement to my recovery...


Along the way....my Mother and brother died....many friends have too.
I'm left with memories and the belief there are with me in spirit.

There have been health issues to overcome.
Limitations are part of ageing....drat!

I've celebrated family weddings and births
We toast with Coca Cola as we are non drinkers.

My life has smoothed out to blessed serenity.
God and I are best friends.
I am pocketbook poor.......spiritually rich.

AA has allowed me to become the woman I was meant to be.
I have purpose....love and joy each day.

Because of God and AA........I look forward to tomorrow
with the certain knowledge that I will continue to be
a walking....talking...typing AA miracle.
