102_names_on_my_step_8

I've been working on step 8 and I'm finally done. Whew... This took me weeks to complete.

Made a list of all persons we had harmed, and became willing to make amends to them all.

I did not want to do this and at times, went days or weeks not working on it.
This was not a pleasant experience. The first time I tried to do it, I got very emotional and couldn't go any further. I feel really bad about who I was and what I've done...

I can honestly say I did not leave anyone or anything out on purpose. I truly did this to the best of my ability.

I'll be meeting with my sponsor tomorrow and we'll go over it and move on.

102 names of people I've harmed, written down next to what I did to cause the harm. Next is even more action (step 9).

Wish me luck!

Kjell

Awesome!!!! Once I had the list, I took a lesson from a speaker tape and applied it. I pictured each individual on the list and imagined myself telling each one of them, " I have harmed you, I was wrong, can you please tell me what I can do to make the books balance" Some of my amends have been made, some are ongoing, and there are some on my list that I'm just going to have to live with, but they are free. The key to freedom is willingness.

Impressive work....
Congratulations

I also like BP44's way to handle this freeing step.
It turned out impossible for me to reach everyone
on my list. I had no idea where they were and
no way to locate them.

I wrote each a letter....tucked it away
and moved on.
After 5 years....I burned the leters.

My list came from my fourth step. Then a five hour discussion with my sponsor. 10th step work was also discussed & increased (second time through the steps) and how to improve 11th step work.
