natural desires - SoberRecovery : Alcoholism Drug Addiction Help and Information

"We want to find exactly how, when, and where our natural desires have warped us" (pg 43 in 12 & 12). At noon meeting today we read from Step Four (pp 42-54) and this sentence jumped out at me. I shared with my walking AA friend this morning how I had "normalized" my tendency to isolate, choosing to see it as a personality quirk rather than an unhealthy behavior that was hurting me. I am growing and changing thanks to the help of others and God.
