Good for you. Step 4 seems to be one of the make or break Steps for people. I can't tell you how many guys I've worked with who seem like they are catching on through Steps 1,2,3, only to fail when it gets uncomfortable in Step 4.

Do you have a sponsor? Questions here are good, and ask away, but your sponsor is in a better position to really know you.

(4th)Never used it for show - After I did my 4th step it was clear that different reactions could of been better no one had to disclose the obvious.
(5th)I took it to another who knew it wasn't about show but about developing to feel the God given instincts that are freely given as a solution rather than having to show someone or get them to listen one more time.
When I was done my non alcoholic friend said - sure am glad you are here talking about it rather than drinking at it. That day with Gods help I was set free with the courage to do what was needed to do next.

I agree, this is a sponsor question.

When I did step four, I did it with my sponsor (in a way) each section we went over once it was complete ie: Resentments, fear, etc...

My Step 5 was completely seperate from Step 4. I was one of those step five mentions as having a deep issue that I wanted to take to my grave. It's funny how some parts of issues make it into step four, but not quite entirely. That is where Step 5 came in. To make sure it ALL gets out. That's what it was for me. No papers in my Step 5. Just a nice long talk.
