| Coffee Drinker | Now beginning step 4
Hi everyone. Last night I met with my sponsor and we went through "How it Works" up to step 4. We said the 3rd step prayer together and now it is time for me to begin my 4th step. He pointed out to be that the book tells us that: "Vigorous action" is now required and we are to begin "at once". Any thoughts or support would be most welcome. Thanks, Ted

I was told to break down my Fourth step into sections, and work on it everyday, at least for a little while. Start by listing the folks that you have resentments against. If you are anything like me, that'll take a while! Big hugs, Karen

Start writing - just like the book says, make a list of people, institutions and principles with whom you 'were' angry.. First column.

I would do it exactly the way your sponsor wants you to do it, Format wise.. But if your looking for idea's .. there are many 4th step guides that you can download and print out for free that go exactly by the Big Book. Here is a good one. www.step12.com/step-4.html I use the Joe & Charley BBS audio and guide with the people I sponsor. Audio can be found here - www.silkworth.net/freestuff.html The worksheets they use - www.upperroomcomm.com/bbsguide/ |

To LIST, is to write vertically, ie; do not go to the next column til the list is done as best as you can. What I found is I didn't need to understand , I just needed to do it. | |
