Mind

Every mind contains all minds,
for every mind is one.

Whatever you accept into your mind
has reality for you.
It is your acceptance of it
that makes it real.

Release your mind,
and you will look upon a world released.

If a mind perceives without love,
it perceives an empty shell
and is unaware to the spirit within.

Minds are joined:
bodies are not.
Only by assigning to the mind
the properties of the body
does separation seem to be possible.
And it is mind that seems to be
fragmented and private and alone.

The body is a limit
imposed on the universal communication
that is an eternal property of mind.
But the communication is internal.
Mind reaches to itself.
It does not go out.
Within itself it has no limits,
and there is nothing outside it.
It encompasses you entirely;
you within it and it within you.

The mind we share is shared by all our brothers,
and as we see them truly
they will be healed.

Minds can only join in truth.
In dreams, no two can share the same intent.

The wakened mind is one that knows
its Source, its Self, its Holiness.

The mind that serves the Holy Spirit
is unlimited forever,
in all ways,
beyond the laws of time and space,
unbound by any preconceptions,
and with strength and power to do
whatever it is asked.

I rule my mind, which I alone must rule.
I have a kingdom I must rule.
At times, it does not seem I am its king at all.
It seems to triumph over me,
and tell me what to think,
and what to do and feel.
and yet it has been given me to serve
whatever purpose I perceive in it.
My mind can only serve.
Today I give its service to the Holy Spirit
to employ as He sees fit.
I thus direct my mind,
which I alone can rule.
and thus I set it free
to do the Will of God.

As I work the 3rd step yesterday and today, I came across this in "Gifts from a Course In Miracles". So powerful. I am shaking. I believe something is happening to me. Something good!! Everyone have a great Sober day. xoxo

I've found "A Course in Miracles" to be the most profoundly inspiring book that I've ever studied.

Feeling separated is the cause of all suffering and ultimately the root of addiction. The moment that you can live your life knowing that you're connected to everything and everyone, part of the "One Mind", the Higher Power... you know that your separation thoughts were like "feathers dancing in the wind".
