| Feeling Sick
I'm sober for three days now. It's hard to believe that I consider that some sort of record. I've been a little sick. I've tried to tell myself that it's something other than the alcohol. I've drank for years. It's taken me a long, long time to admit I'm powerless over alcohol. I am powerless over alcohol. I'm an alcoholic. For some reason, it's difficult to see it written out. I feel so lost. I don't know where to begin. |

Maybe you are having some withdrawal. Please consider getting medical help! Welcome to SR... Perhaps post in newcomers, that section gets more traffic. Mark

You are doing great -- the hardest thing about this is the feeling of "lost" as you put it.. I describe it as a distortion of reality... well the reality that we are used to. Its scary and feels like a panic attack but worse.. Your doing so good.. and it wont take long before it is gone then the toughest thing will be to convince yourself that you really arent ok and that you really shouldnt have a drink. Im with you and we can do this together as I am going through this too, unfortunately for I think the 10th time.
