"B'H

Belief

(From a letter

You write to me you are concerned that you don’t believe. If you don’t
believe, then why does not believing concern you?"

Because in the eyes of many, I am less, for my non-belief. And while I am secure enough in who I am, there are days when I can't help but wonder if I shared in the belief you speak of, would you and I be able to communicate in a more fruitful and divine manner.

Next?

Belief, is not about being popular or having people like you. Belief is a personal spiritual connection from the heart to a greater power. Over the centuries, people have died for their beliefs, as often "believing" was not the popular choice of the day.

Peoples opinions change, "belief" does not. At least not from where I sit.

Hugs

Yep.
Dying for beliefs. Sometimes, a slow death of the soul.
There's also the other side of the coin.
Killing in the name of beliefs.

If I could share in your beliefs, I believe I said.
I'm very comfortable with the popularity I have inside my own mind.

...would you and I be able to communicate in a more fruitful and divine manner?
Rhetorical question

Yep, that's true enough. And it's a statement more about them than you, Dan. It's not my place to judge anyone about their belief system or lack of. And, as I've heard many times, (and even come to believe), it's not your business what anyone else thinks of you.

Dan, when you speak from your heart, you are communicating in the most divine manner. I can think of no communication more fruitful. You bare your soul, (metaphorical use of the word; cannot think of a better way to put it!), in a way that is the purest essence of honesty. It's up to me and others to "hear" that divine message you are sharing.
If I let your "non-belief" interfer with hearing that message, that's my problem. ANd there's nothing you can do about it. Time may - or may not - change what I hear. But, what I do has nothing to do with YOUR message.
Keep speaking. There's a better chance to be heard.

Shalom!

for me its not about belief in 'god'. its my concept of what god is, my faith in god, by belief not in god, but in gods ablity to help me. usually that lack of faith is when lifes not what i want it to be rather thatn accepting life as it is and finding beauty in what i do have. forever pushing for the horizon i will never touch the sun but i will never feel the grounds until i stop and breathe and pracitce good ol gratitude, assess my goals in life and change what i can.

peace
