B"H Advice on Anger --------------- Prepare yourself with this meditation, and when you feel anger overcoming you, run through it in your mind: Know that all that befalls you comes from a single Source, that there is nothing outside of that Oneness to be blamed for any event in the universe. And although this person who insulted you, or hurt you, or damaged your property, is granted free choice and is held culpable for his decision to do wrong -- that is his problem. That it had to happen to you -- that is between you and the One Above. Any thoughts on this? I find it interesting...in fact, it is just the opposite of what I posted on the other forum. I said that Trevor's breaking into my house was NOT G*D's will; it was Trevor's will. This SEEMS to say it is G*D's... Really gotta think on this one! Shalom!

This is cool, thanks for posting it. To me this says that I must accept every person, place, and thing in my life as being exactly the way it is supposed to be. If I deny the person who is presented to me by God, that is if I deny that they should have been presented to me in the way that they ultimately were, then I believe I am denying God. Everything in my life happens for a reason and every person crosses my path for a reason or reasons. What am I supposed to learn from this? It is God's will that I learn and grow, and to do that pain is a necessary part of the equation. I don't know Trevor, or his relation to you, however if he's a family member then perhaps his actions were meant to spur you on toward "adult" love with this person? Breaking dependencies, etc.? I don't know, but thanks for making me think! Kevin

Hi Teach..I am taking a peek around the forums this morning. I may be "off" here but you know me and love me right? (lol) I think Teach that we are all given free will. I do believe that Trevor is responsible for the break-in, but ALL things happen for a reason. I have had some pretty dark things happen in my life, and today I know that God had this plan for me. Of course at the time I did not know what it was...but it became clear later.... Yes, I believe that God is always present..but our free will is our own. Am I making sense. I also think what we DO with what happens to us is our free will..but God is also present in our choices to guide us..if we will just listen. NOW SEE you have me thinking..and you know that my brain is tired. That is why my remote ended up in my purse.. Anyway sending you lots of ((((Hugs))) and prayers today and every day.. With love, Hopefloats |
