| out of my body!!
Hey guys, last night i had an amazing thing happen to me, I awoke in the middle of the night, after going to bed feeling ill, and got out of bed to turn the light on, and saw my body lying on the bed...i had gotten right out of my body.I posted the whole story in the womens room, but dang, i should have put it here shouldnt I?? It was truly amazing...I found I kould penetrate matter...I put my arm through a glass window and it passed through like treakle. It was skary too as, for the rest of the night I kould not keep my self inside my body..i woke again later after falling asleep on my tummy, just hanging four feet up, over my body, looking down on it. It just kept happening. I was wanting to ask if this has happened to others at all...Ive drwan a blank over at the womens forum so far....Id like to know im not the only one it has happened too....

Im so sure that I didnt.I really felt as awake as i do now...and the thing was it kept happening over and over, I kept waking up outside myself, the worst really was when i was hanging above myself, fase down. Its possible I was dreaming I guess...but i sort of know i wasnt...its hard to eksplain. I feel now that we really do have a soul, and at death, we dont go to the grave with our bodies. kind of wonderful really.

Hi Clancy! I want to tell you this also has happenned to me, I do not have an explanation for this but i was sleeping and woke and proceeded to walk on the deck, i was very comfortable, when i walked back in i seen myself sleeping, I was quite amazed, and actually did not feel threatoned in any way. I proceeded to walk around, nothing seemed to be out of the ordinary but me. It is a memory i will not soon forget, and havent thought about it for many of years. I simply went back to the couch i was sleeping on and layed back down, when i woke up i tried to rationalize what had happenned. Thankyou for sharing Larry |

Hi Clancy; You were soul travelling, or astral travelling. I envy you for being able to be aware of this. Apparently we all do it, but not all of us are able to be aware of this. There are many books writen about it too that you could read. I read one that I borrowed from my sister, but don't remember the writer now, just think it was called Soul Travelling. I would do a internet search to see what else you could learn about this. Many people don't believe things unless they experience them firsthand. Even though I have no memories of soul travelling, I do believe it happens.

It used to happen to my daughter all the time when she was younger. She also continues to have very vivid flying dreams Lucky!

I had this experience only once, but I was not sleeping. I was awake, and I felt an out of body experience....like looking from up in the corner of the ceiling down at myself for quite some time. I have never done drugs..LOL It was very powerful, and maybe someday I will find it again.

The type of out of body experience (OBE) you experienced is called autoscopy. I had an autoscopy OBE myself once. I was fighting two guys at once from another high school in front of mine in the ninth grade in California and one of them suddenly charged me. As he ran into me I felt exhiliration such as I have rarely known and literally rose out of my body about 25 feet over the scene. Time slowed to a crawl. I chose to reenter my body and then got my butt whooped by the older kids... lol. It was quite an experience. Scientists (specifically neurologists) have run tests on these in controlled environments and believe their results show they are biologically based. Specifically, "that autoscopies are due to functional disintegration of lower-level multisensory processing and abnormal higher-level self-processing at the temporo-parietal junction." -Bunning and Blanke (2005) of the Laboratory of Cognitive Neuroscience, Ecole Polytechnique Federale de Lausanne (EPFL), Lausanne, and Department of Neurology, University Hospital, Geneva, Switzerland. "Scientists engaged in such researchers argue that the experimental investigation of the interactions between these multisensory and cognitive mechanisms in autoscopies and related illusions in combination with neuroimaging and behavioral techniques might further our understanding of the central mechanisms of corporal awareness and self-consciousness." - Wikipedia A Zen Buddhist 10th degree I knew used to try to put himself in this condition (he called it "astral travel") to check up on his opponents. He was into the occult too. My attempts to discuss with him the history and belief system of Buddhism (the largest rebel splinter group from Hinduism) and why I reject their explanation of reality as being accurate and how modern science assigns a biological basis to OBE experiences fell on deaf ears. He just tried to use simple Jedi Mind tricks on me. They failed. |
