| What I call my Spirit.
... Is really a multitude of things I think. Within me and around me. My Spirit is the way I connect to the absolute need I have to feel a sense of place and belonging. My Spirit is the part of me that survived years of self-inflicted abuse and now gives me the desire to heal those wounds. My Spirit is what allows me, all too infrequently, to know I deserve to be loved no matter what. My Spirit can be as simple as a smile offered and received, or as complicated as a an unfinished work of art. My Spirit is never boring, and promises me endless discoveries, as long as I trust where it is guiding me. My Spirit is found in the eyes of my children, or in the notes of a favorite song, or in the words and thoughts of my peers. My Spirit waited for me all these years I was absent. And I'm grateful for that. What's yours like?  |

I love you! I don't think well on my feet, it takes me days to put the pieces into words, but because I love your writing I hear, I will make an attempt to stumble into the beginnings of what I hope is a fruitful harvest. My spirit is like a plant, that bends towards the sun. My spirit is the freeness in me, that pursues relentlessly truth, knowledge, freedom, trust, wisdom...often in opposition to the norm My spirit is the one that is willing to part from the herd, and beat to my own drummer. My spirit is a child. finding delight in simplicity, beauty. My spirit, this newly freed, feels emotions, cries, laughs louder than anybody, hugs and expresses its nature without censorship. My spirit believes itself, has trust of its own senses. My spirit is insatiable, there is always more to feel, to know, to learn, to experience, to adventure, to live....if only I will give it the chance to express itself, the freedom to live fully, thrivingly, nourishingly. Tomorrow I will think of all the things I should have said. But perhaps this is good. The censor hasn't had time to talk to me yet.! hahahahaha To build an eloquent response and composition.

My spirit is... ...alot like Dan's, only it's not really found in the eyes of my children (yet) because they have slitty pupils and fur. teehee. But seriously, that was beautiful Dan and liveweyerd! live, "Thrivingly?" I like it! Hey, kath! Love and hugs from my spirit to yours, Eddie

Hmm.....my spirit, I think ,although she has been on many missions to earth, is still very young.....she is mischevious....she is still easily tempted by pleasure.... She is working on temperance in this life, a theme she has been working on for at least the last few hundred years, temperance and self discipline....she is fond of the earth, and the beauty and sensuality that is found only here, and is very easily tempted here again....she forgets how hard it is here though and is often tempted to dump her mission early, and has done so in the past. But then she will have to repeat all her lessons here again...she is determined to get through it this time and go home with her head up high. Temperance and self disipline learned, she will be able to concentrate on creative passions......she is so impatient for this! But then patience has to be learned too......that 'll be another few hundred years then! she is a slow learner....but I am learning to love her.

My spirit, Wow, something to think about. My spirit has been many things over the years. A time when she was sad and lost and confused, but also strong enough to go beyond those things. Smart enough to admit she didn't have all the answers, and humble enough to ask for help. She is happy and content now. Still seeking to learn, and grow. Peaceful. My spirit is also universal. A universal conscious, that can feel the pain and joy of others because we are all connected.

my spirit is a forgiving,loving,kind,gentle,and passoinate spirit. my spirit keeps me strong and on the right path. my spirit convicts me when i sin.my spirit crys for joy when i repent of my sins.my spirit sings me to sleep every night. my spirit keeps me running the race, and never look back.my spirit gives me hope for everlasting life.my spirit is the holy spirit. the spirit of the father and the son who gave his life on the cross for all of our sins. the ultament sacrafic for sinners like us. this is the spirit that drives me with such determination because of his suffering our sins will be forgiven. duain

My person is sometimes grouchy, arrogant, selfish, childish, has pity parties, you name it. This is no wonder to me. I have been given a new life, so I have lots of growing up to do. But, when I can detach from that person, my spirit is joyful (and yes, eddiez, makes up new words). My spirit is joyful because it is very grateful to have a new life. My new life began when my illnesses were properly treated for the first time. That is when my life began. Before that, I was crippled and crushed. My spirit is overjoyed not to be dead from illness.

Honestly, my spirit was buried deep deep inside me...and...it took addiction of a loved one to bring my spirit to the surface. For that I thank my beloved addicted one, she has shown me so much in such a short time. Now, my Spirit sees people in a different light, a different angle. My Spirit wants me to believe that love is in everyone and everything, although it may be buried deep, like my love and spiritualness was. Essentially, it is still there... My Spirit is manifesting herself to me, daily...in so many things I have never seen in the past. Thanks Dan, good thread...and thanks to those who responded with their Spirit.

| (((Dan))) Well this has to be one of my favorite threads at SR. It is really beautiful to witness others opening up and sharing their hearts and souls... My meditation for the day will be trying to put into words what my spirit consists of.... Thanks for starting my day off in such a lovely fashion  |

Oh I LOVE spirit in the sky!! wow, I havent heard those lyriks for years, it brings memories of the skool hops, we had a partikular danse for this song,something with elbows and shoulders and swinging about....I'd absolutely love to hear it again.Thank you for a lovely memory there, aw....

| Sitting on a limb, high in a Ponderosa tree, feeling one with nature. The history of this magnificent tree enters through my fingertips, giving me a glimpse of it's remarkable life. The tree is me, i am the tree... We are one in that instant, that moment in time. Eyes level with the surface of the water, the current caressing my body. My senses are keen, I am aware of the smallest of details. I hear the sound of insect wing's, feel the small breeze their motion makes against my cheek. Lying in wait with me is my relative the Otter. The otter is me, i am the otter... We are one in that instant, that moment in time. Time's like these I know that that all life is permeated with the spirit and that the spirit belongs to us all. Nomaste' |

Although I consider myself very spiritual, it is difficult to define in words what my spirit is. Here's my best try. My spirit is the part of me that whispers "yes you can" when my mind is shouting "I CAN'T'. My spirit is the part of me that smiles in my heart when I walk on the beach, or work in my garden, or look at a sunset or the full moon. My spirit is what gives me that extra spurt of energy to try one more time. My spirit is the part of my heart that dances when I hear music, and that remembers the words to a special song. My spirit is what makes me cry when I see a new baby or watch my best friend's daughter get married. My spirit connects me to all that was, all who were, and all who are and will be, because it is charged by the energy of the universe and the power of God. My spirit is God's connection to my soul. | first off, I love you guys! xoxoxox My Spirit... My spirit lives inside me.. it talks to me when im sleeping, reminds me to be free...to be present, to be available to me... my spirit says, "shhh...slow down.... listen...can you feel me?" sometimes just flipping thru radio stations,, up pops country music.. my spirit yells, "YES!! YES!!" I say, "No, I dont like country music THAT much.." My spirit says, "YES You Do!! "stop, shhhh...listen...." so I do....... and I do!.......  Spirit says, "shhh shhh listen...feeeeeeeeeeeel me" and when I do...... .... life is good......
