| Hello all, and a book recommendation
Hi all, I'm new here. Three weeks sober and really looking forward to keeping it that way. I'm also interested in spirituality. My 'home' is in the Catholic faith (especially Ignatian spirituality) but I know I share much with people of other faiths, or people just with a general interest in spirituality. I'm currently reading a really nice book called "Breathing under wate"r by Richard Rohr which links the twelve steps to a Franciscan view on spirituality. I can recommend it for anyone looking for encouraging book - it's not assuming people are necessary Christian. |

Welcome Michael. I was raised Baptist but today embrace the teachings of many faiths. I believe that it is all one higher power, regardless of what we call him/her. I prefer to call him God, but accept many interpretations. I will look for that book and take a read. The 12 steps have been a wonderful guide in my life, spiritual growth has seen me through many tough days. Thanks for sharing this here. Hugs
