10 month journey

Has any one read anything by Og Mandino.

I am currently involved with "The Greatest Salesman", a spiritual story that includes some (10) lessons to be learned.

I am on the third (scroll as they are called). Each lesson is practiced for a month.

1) I shall form good habits and become a slave to them
2) I shall great this day with love
3) I shall persist and I shall succeed

So far so good, but it does take effort.

Larry

I love his books, although it's been a while since I read them.

My favourite was The Greatest Miracle in The World, but I got something special out of each one. I think it because his teachings are simple, things anyone can do to improve their spirit and therefore their lives.

For a long time I had one of his quotes as my signature...I will love the light for it shows me the way, yet I will endure the darkness because it shows me the stars. ~Og Mandino

I think I have been inspired here to read another one of his books, they always make me feel better.

Hugs

Boleo,

So my thoughts were, first, who is Joe Girard, second (after google) really? and did you know that prior to google, and if so why?

But that's just me.....one thing leads to another-question. A "talent" I believe the goodlord has blessed me with so that I may endlessly annoy all those who think they know while I search for meaning, answers and reasons.

Joe Girard was a car salesman who worked for a Chevy dealer about a mile from the house I grew up in. He was world famous because he broke all kinds of sales records. He was in the Guinness Book of World Records. He was on many TV talk shows such as Johnny Carson. He had several best-seller books.

Even though I never met him personally, I have met dozens of people in my area who claim to know him intimately. He now lives a few miles from me in a mansion that I have driven past many times. Even today he is still a local legend. Those who claim to be his friends say he never made a dime off of selling cars (he sold many below cost). He just wanted the title "Worlds Greatest Salesman" so he could give seminars and sell books.

Seems like a man with a plan and the ability to see it through. I like that.

The scoll marked....IV

I am nature's greatest miracle, there has never been another like me, nor will there ever be. So I will today and everyday perform my best in gratitude for that which I have been given. I will not waste my talents or the time I have. Nothing but my best will do.
Anything less is failure, and I will not fail.

I will form good habits and become a slave to them.
I will greet this day with love in my heart.
I will persist and I will succeed.

I am nature's greatest miracle.

Larry
