Yes it does

All "we have is a daily reprieve based on our spiritual condition"

Each day I get to connect and get spiritually fed and nourished in order to be ready to face the daily challenges and meet life on life's terms. I get to ask for the strength and guidance I need for that day.

All we are promised is that day. I get to be grateful to be of service and participate in the gift of each day.

What if an aclholic achieved nirvana or niroda would it still be one day at a time, when they could mediatate way past 24 hours at a time. And what if a kid was on traintracks and a train was comin and alcholic ran and saved him, wouldnt the person who saved him be on a spiritual high more then a day.

I'd say a day is illusionary, the moment is all we're dealt at a time. Its also dangerous to get drunk on nirvana as well as intoxicants.

Stu Ungar who had an above genius IQ who won three w.s.o.p main events said you got to be in the moment. I read a book said that said thinking of the past and the future instead of the now is ego.Ill just play what Im dealt to the best of my ability.
