the Celestine Prophecy

I just finished re-reading the Celestine Prophecy. Has anyone read it recently? It came out in the early 90's. That was B.R. (before recovery!). As I re-read it through recovery eyes, it starts to make perfect sense! The first time around, I thought the ideas were a beautiful ideal, something to strive for. Today, I can say that I have actually lived/experienced all 9 insights (to some degree, still working on a couple of things). But in fact, it explains how our childhood relationships affect our adult relationships. How if we modify those "dramas" we stop the dysfunction. How if we associate with like-minded people (recovery friends!) we increase the vibration even more, how nothing is a coincidence, just look for the messages, they are all around you (mindfulness, let go and let HP speak to you). I just thought it was fascinating to see it through recovery eyes, because in fact to me, it spoke of recovery through and through.

In the spirit of the book, I spoke to a recovery friend about it, and turns out she just bought the movie... last week (!) and invited me to view it with her. There are no coincidences! As long as we speak the truth and let go and let HP.
Very excited with this fresh perspective. Thought I'd share.

one of favorites. ive bought this book 4 times, and i dont currently own a copy of it. i insisted that each of my lovers read it. i saw a sneak preview hosted by some nice people 2 months before it hit the big screen. very awesome movie. a much better book. James Redfield is truly a visionary. the 10th insight and the follow up books were probably all urged by the publisher and didn't exactly vibe by me, sort of like overkill.
Awesome spiritual concepts. Ahead of many of people's time.
since ive read it I've also had this fantasy of take a vacation in Peru and having my life change all around.. hehe
