to my wife who's moving on. My sobriety didn't fit her well. “Forgiveness is the name of love practiced among people who love poorly. The hard truth is that all of us love poorly. We need to forgive and be forgiven every day, every hour—unceasingly. That is the great work of love among the fellowship of the weak that is the human family.”—Henry Christian |

zazen 1 hour a day first thing in the morning before I shook off my nightly dreams and irregardless if I drank the previous nite helped me tremendously. Tip: when wake up bring yourself and blanket if need be draped around you to your specially designated meditation point and force yourself to sit and count breaths 1 to 100 or look at a point on the wall. When I find myself thinking stuff, usually my past. If its really hard I hold my breath 1 minute at a time. Really like 1 minute now now 2 minute etc till I reach the 1 hour mark. It's hard as hell but if you think about it as if it could save your life."I can stop my life at any point by controlling my breaths" You are empowering yourself. Who knows what may occur in the future? Are you ready? Can you stop your mind in a panic attack? or gas attack for that matter and thus enable yourself to protect those around you or yourself. |
