| Let Go and Let God
Some on the Higher Power help me to understand Hit List! To "let go" does not mean to stop caring, it means I can't do it for someone else. To "let go" is not to enable, but to allow learning from natural consequences. To "let go" is to admit powerlessness, which means the outcome is not in my hands. To "let go" is not to try to change or blame another, it's to make the most of myself. To "let go" is not to care for but to care about. To "let go" is not to fix but to be supportive. To "let go" is not to judge but to allow another to be a human being. To "let go" is not to protect, it's to permit another to face reality. To "let go" is not to deny but to accept. To "let go" is not to nag, scold, or argue but instead to search out my own short-comings and correct them. To "let go" is not to adjust everything to my desires but to take each day as it comes and cherish myself in it...

Thanks Pattee. I`m going to print that out too, and give it to someone who it may help. It explains letting go far better than I ever could.

hey, add a few if you think of any... the worlds full of let go's... To "let go" is allowing yourself to be able to say "no'' or "I can't'' when faced with insurmountable problems out of your reach. lol, this is kinda like a spiritual Whiners Anonymous!

R.S. All the examples that you posted, are all good reasons to Let go and let God.The way I am able to put almost everyone of those examples into practice, is when I am given the opportunity to carry the message to a sick and suffering Alcoholic, and even if he isn't quite ready, I have done my part, I then Let Go, the rest is up to God. |
