With each lesson, and as the process moves along...IO grows..and learns.

Fluttering...it really helped me what you said here..

"I at least put a window in so I could see out and so others could see me.

When it was time the wall came down...a slow process but with the gift of descretion we do learn when itis safe to come out from behind the wall...That same gift lets us know who to let in that are person that love, encourage and support us."

It is going to take some time before I open up to some people again...

and, I may never..to them. For awhile..I am lying low..mostly "listening"

in meetings and in my other relationships. And learning quite a lot.

Thank you my friends for believing in me when belief in myself is on the wane.

It still surprises me that when I really need it, the right message appears...over and over. lol

You are one of those my mother would say do not "weary in well doing"....

And I, for one, want to take the time to thank you for donating your time

and effort to encouraging myself and others here on this thread and

elsewhere on SR. Sometimes our loved ones do not tell us how much they

appreciate us..when we know they do...sometimes we neglect to say

those important things ourselves. So....

I gave this poem to another friend here awhile back..

And now it called me back and said "give it to CC".


Not In Her Storm

I see the clouds rolling in and oh how it looks like rain
And it is always I fight for the welcome change
When it rains it pours on this heart of mine
So, I take the storms I feel to her each time.

But I know she has lived under her own pouring rain
Yet under her water her heart still doesn't change
She can walk away from what hangs overhead
And, not in her storm, are words left unsaid.

Not in her storm have I ever felt alone
Her storm ends, so I, may find my way home
It's for me that she pushes away her own rain
So, that I may find comfort in calling her name.

She lives in this world for the sake of anothers heart
God, how she eases the miles when worlds apart
And she never wanders when your world falls through
Not ever in her storm would she do this to you.

She has wings that I know not only I can see
Cause only an angel could find strength to carry me
It's the way that the eyes can surely view
How her heart's written so clearly in what an angel can do.

Not in her storm is her work ever done
And even in her storm she hands me the sun
When her world is dark - I always have light
And now how I hold the new color of night.

She takes then she gives to an unhappy face
So that many can find an awesome place
I have been able to love her more every day
And with her hand in mine the clouds roll away.

Not in any storm that I will ever live beneath
Could ever change what I hold here inside of me
Not in any of her storms have I lost my angels touch
To that angel out there, I love her so much.

Expectations, that others will communicate clearly, is one of my character defects. Just for today I will make sure I communicate clearly and I will not spend my day trying to be a mind reader.

lol Ann, I do that too, even tho I know it's impossible to know absolutely what another person is thinking. For me it's a case of thinking the other persons thoughts for them. lol

I heard an analogy ...if you take a bag of feathers and shake them loose off

the top of a mountain..you can never retrieve them. So it is with the words

that escape our mouths. What we say can heal..or destroy. Make or break

relationships..

I will choose today to try to use my "power" to say kind words of healing.

That is so true as well. The power of the tongue is so strong. A simple "I was wrong...I am

sorry." A simple compliment..acknowledgment...missed opportunities.

And of course...thank God when we do withhold our venom until we calm down.
