| Use meditation
I used meditation to help me it relaxed me and helped me quit drinking and smoking. I now look forward to meditating everyday. It has really changed my life. The meditation technique I used was The IT Meditation you can visit the website at theitmeditation.com. I am sure if you don't use that particular one you can use some other meditation technique that will be just as effective. I just know for sure that for me that particular one was effective. If anyone needs any advice though please let me know.

I use Christian meditation and progressive relaxation and have benefited greatly from it. The course I first used is geared toward anxiety sufferers, which I was at that time, and is completely free. If you go to controllinganxiety.com you can get started. After that I discovered a well known christian relaxation and meditation course that worked well. The authors are in the process of putting up a site at christianrelaxation.com right now looks like. |

Silencing the mind is essential for relieving me from the bondage of self. Going to an eleventh step meeting tonight, in fact. I need to make meditation part of my daily schedule. When I did that, it seemed like my conscious contact with God made things a lot easier. Thanks for this thread!! |
