Every instinct I had about my A was WRONG until yesterday.

My instinct of love can conquer all, WRONG.

My instinct that this has got to be his bottom, WRONG.

My instinct that NOW this has got to be his bottom, WRONG.

My instinct that if I left and he really did lose everything he’d hit his bottom, WRONG.

My instinct seeing him walking in 30 degree weather wearing only a sweatshirt and thinking he was probably walking to an AA meeting, WRONG.

My instinct in seeing him riding a bicycle and thinking he probably found a job and was going to work, WRONG.

My instinct in knowing he received his 3rd DUI lost his license for 10 years and spent 6 months in jail then a few months in a halfway house, that that really had to be the harsh reality that would turn his life around, WRONG.

My instinct of turning around and walking the other way when almost coming face to face with him yesterday at Walmart, RIGHT!!!!

My recovery in action!!!! So thankful!!

Lordy, I love this post. Confusing my own "bad judgement" with "good instincts" threw me off balance for years.

This is one quick stop/about face where whiplash is a good thing.
