Milestone days can be weird. It's like the addicted cells wake up and say, "Hey? Remember alcohol? Let's go get some poison!!!"

Stupid little goobers.

Don't listen. Go to bed early if it helps.

Rooting for you!!!

Weekend, too. Just something about the weekend.
Venting totally allowed and encouraged.

There are other, harsher, statements one can utter.

Weekends really are a pain.

I keep telling myself I'm allowed a relapse.

I'm trying to replace alcohol with coffee or fruit juice, but I'm just that used to associating the weekend with getting absolutely ratted.

We will stay strong, all of us, we will beat this.

Yep. Here in the states, it's a long weekend--Memorial Day.
Hang in there. Go for a walk, get some air. Always helped me when I was newly sober.

There definitely is something about milestone days. I went 200 days once and then went to the store and bought a beer. I thought I could handle it. I then went on a one year bender.

I find not counting after awhile is best. If you want to someday count them again just highlight the date in your phone and count from there.

Hang in there rainyengland, it has been a really nice day and it is a long weekend, treble wammy, but just think of waking up Sunday hangover free and still with the Bank Holiday to look forward to.

Hey - back! , dragged pooch out of its bed and went for a nice evening walk - did the trick 😊

Strange feeling ,had a lovely day with just me and boys, something few weeks ago would have never done as would have been hungover/drunk

Got back , collapsed on sofa and felt like day one all over again..foggy head, restlessness, numb face ..I was screaming inside for wine

It's that bloody sofa I think , it's a trigger! I used to spend all my time on there either asleep or drunk ..since I quit havnt really been there, been occupying myself with other things .. hour on that damn thing and I'm all over the place again

Never did like that sofa ..one more chance ..next time it's the dump for you ! 👎🏻

Well done, you!!!

Lose the sofa. It could well be a trigger, especially the smell...smells are memories on a core brain level.

At least have it cleaned? But I'm thinking a lovely new comfy sofa that has never seen a drink might be the ticket.

Sending you an admiring hug.

Someone posted earlier that she had just moved into a new house, and it felt supergreat that she had never had a drink in the house.
That resonated with me. Powerful stuff.
And I bet the pooch liked the walk as well.

I used to have a sofa that I would pass out on sitting up and there was this spider that lived somewhere under that sofa and I would wake up in the middle of the night with webs all over me and freak out, jump up swinging all over the place! I never did kill or catch that sucker! It happened many times!

I'm sorry but that story about the spider really made me laugh!! I can imagine the spider hiding under the sofa waiting for tomls to pass out and then getting busy spinning webs! I hope you don't think I'm mean for laughing tomls. I just found that really funny

Glad you're feeling better Rainy. Have fun sofa shopping

Dump sucker-sofa, second thing to do in the morning.

First thing, be grateful you didn't drink today.
