Any AA history buffs in here?

I am starting to really like the history behind it all and love to learn about it. Heard Not God was a good book to read. Anyone read it or have other suggestions?

You might consider a subscription to grapevine online AA 's magazine.
http://www.aagrapevine.org

It has digital keyword search archives and holds a treasure trove of letters written by Bill W and many others. Check out Bill's Language of the Heart

Also, are you familiar with Barefoots World?

Index of AA History Pages

http://www.silkworth.net is a great bookmark as well.

In between all the reading check out the movie, "Bill W".. here's some information where to find it online free of charge.

https://www.justwatch.com/us/movie/bill-w

"Language of the Heart", is a great book about AA's history that's really good, talks about how the 12 Steps came to be and all about the 12 Traditions..

https://www.amazon.com/Language-Hear...g+of+the+heart

there was a good thread here that was going around a month or so ago about the history that was really good!!

I'm a fan of Not God.

I've read a few of the Bill W bios and the official histories; Pass It On and Dr. Bob & The Good Oldtimers are a good start.

AA History Lovers is also one of my favorites:

A A Comes of Age is one of my favorites. It details quite a few history facts about early AA and how the Traditions came about, and it talks about the steps and concepts of AA.

enjoy

I posted some suggestions on original Oxford Group literature in awuh1's history thread, as well as a link to the book How It Worked by Mitchel K., which is about Clarence Snyder.
