Good morning Overs.

The oncologist is starting Mrs T. on the strongest chemo he can. Folfirinox every two weeks for twelve weeks then a CT scan.

After that we had a good weekend, you wouldn't know anything was wrong On Sat. she helped me move a ton of walling stone. And on Sunday week walked five miles at full speed.

Then I read too much on the Pancreatic Cancer support forum and didn't sleep last night. I feel like ...

I need to get some professional help to get me through this. I have guilt issues because I'm the one who has abused myself with alcohol and been cavalier with solvents, chemicals and radiation. I have anxiety about the future. Our daughters in particular are at the most crucial time of high school, exams next year for one and in three years for the other.

To those of you with STLEs (Stupid Trivial Life Events) no life event is trivial or stupid.

Well Captain Gray cloud signing off, make today the best you can.

In the UK we have quite a lot of helpful resources from McMillan to Cancer research UK there is counseling available for your wife & probably some help for the family Inc you & your daughters

If i can ever help as someone who was a carer to a 3 month terminal cancer patient (my mum) let me know x

None of this is your fault Andy.

Don't miss the wonder of the day and beauty of the love you and your wife share because you're beating yourself up, ok?

Andy, that sounds like a good idea (getting some professional help). We all need some help at times to deal with things that we feel like we can't manage.

FBL, funny video :-)

Good morning, Overs!

Andy, my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I pray the chemo knocks the cancer back successfully.

Thank you for being here.

I had an emotional moment (burst into tears) walking to town. held it together on the bus home. I was too late to see a Doctor today. Burst into tears and frightened the receptionist. Cleaned the bath and burst into tears. Cleaning the toilet, no tears, strange.

I'm depressed and very tired. I've had a long talk to a lady at the Macmillan cancer charity. She gave me some phone numbers for councillors but I think a quicker fix is required.

It can be hard on families. We want to stay strong for our families but sometimes things have just got to give.

There's no shame in tears Andy.

Would a Course of anti depressants help you? It might be worth speaking to your doc. I take them and they really help. I'm not 'out' of it and they don't make you like a zombie. but they do have a calm serene side which help us cope when things are tough.

Continued support, Andy. Don't worry about asking for help...we ALL need it at some point.

Got a call from my brother yesterday. He's been dealing with massive anxiety lately. Tried to be supportive, as I've been there too. He's on medication and has just started therapy. I told him that I loved him and am always just a phone call away. Guess that's about all I can do, the rest is up to him.

Some cool, but gorgeous weather in these parts lately.

Have a Marvelous Monday, overs!

Having been both the caregiver and the patient I think it's actually harder to be the caregiver. You have all the support and strength I can send, Andy, and a monster hug to you both.

Hoping for a better week. You made me laugh, Mags...DH is long past teendom...although we were both acting like bratty teens in the Walmart aisle!

Hugs all around!
