Don't know if I am posting in the right place. Am not a newbie but have not posted in a long time, almost a year I think maybe more. I have longish periods sober ( a few months at a time and then think I have cracked it ) then long periods drunk. The sober periods have been gradually getting longer, but the drunk periods have been getting more and more intense. Just out of hospital with a double face fracture after falling over and smashing my face on the lounge tiles. Day 3 yet again now. Just wanted to say hello.

Glad you are back, fabat. I'm sorry you injured yourself. That's why I had to stop & stay stopped - I was putting myself in danger. Unpredictable things happened every time I took a chance & tried to have 'a few'. It's so much better to be free.

Your post reminded me when I had a drinking period about 12 years ago when I was falling all around, and I hurt myself in a pool without even remembering going swimming. It's so easy to forget all of those times. I have a little over 5 months now with my current sober period, and I am just trying to take it day by day.

eventually my periods collided and i had to choose, sober or drinking, i hope you do better than i did, but know im still trying to be better.

I took a terrible fall and am lucky my face recovered. Take care of yourself as you heal and perhaps start a recovery program now?
