5 months

Sober now 5 months, which is just about half the time I had when I had 10.5 months sober before relapsing last June. Giving up alcohol has saved my life. There is some upheaval in my life right now, and I would have easily self destructed by now if I was still drinking. Sobriety is allowing me to work through these issues with a clear mind. I am grateful.

Great job FreedomCa! Its good to see you recognize sobriety helps work through issues. I mostly just find things easier sober as when I drink, I tended to just muck everything up.

Thanks everyone. My husband is going through his own addiction issues and struggling, and so my sobriety is allowing me to stay focused on my own life while he is working through the chaos of his own addiction struggles. If I was still drinking, I most likely would have gotten sucked into his own drama.
