I usually do not get the question. But i do recegnise the "hiding the smell" part.... But i often think; wow, i had five drinks, and he belive me When i say i only had one....? Do he notice? If he did, he is not the type to let it go by without calling me out.... Confused....

This is a wonderful thread. OP and others spoke for me. Soooo fun to read how relationships can be turned around or salvaged...or proven to be toxic...by getting sober.

I got the question about 1times in 10 that I should have been asked. Like Brenda and a couple of others, it made me wonder how deeply my partner cared...or else, what the hay, right?? Now I believe that doubt is my paranoia. My partner was hurt and confused about why I would try to hide anything.
