Good share Thump. It really is the reapplication of such simple recovery stuff in every day life for me. This time last year I was completely disorientated to time. Sober a while- but my brain was so fried from 3 months of hospital drugs and a huge binge, I was very, very unwell. This year- in a unit of my own 9a temp one in the red tape ladder), surrounded by art works done by me, sharing here. A solid start.

Good evening Jannie friends.
Thank you for your positive and happy posts. It really does make me smile to hear everyone is well and implementing what you have learnt for a peaceful, happy life. I'm doing well today after a couple of down days. Work is just so busy, but today was the first day in two weeks my legs didn't hurt until I had my dance class. Now they are aching again. I also met up with a friend at my mother-in-law's bar. She doesn't serve non-alcoholic drinks so I bought some to her earlier in the day to serve me. It was absolutely NO problem sitting there with my drink while friend had several. I also planned to get the bus so my time was limited. Worked out great.
I'm actively work at this every single day and will continue to do so. I'm still listening to the hypnosis tape even though I'm at 4 weeks today. I like the relaxation part and always fall asleep soon after. It must be penetrating into my brain.
Thank you so so much for your continued support.
I also want to give a very special thanks to Delilah. It was your post about only using SR and reading to keep you sober for so long. I don't have access to face-to-face meetings and always thought what's the point if I can't get the extra help that I need. After your post, I ordered some books, got the app Sunny recommended and here I am still strong at 4 weeks with a different attitude to sobriety.
I know it's very very early days but I will keep on educating myself, stay close to here and be grateful that I found such lovely caring friends!
Have a lovely weekend all. It's Easter, isn't it? (Not celebrated here).
Happy Easter all.

Congrats Sandy on four weeks!!!

sounds like your new venture will be successful T. Do what you love and you'll never work a day. It will be therapeutic at least.

Happy Easter everyone and have a wonderful sober week

Hi Thump It has been quiet here and I'm so glad you posted.

It's after midnight and I'm still up due to a late dinner party plus I've had insomnia the past few nights. Hope to nod off reading SR.
I'm checking out a new ACOA meeting tomorrow and planting flowers in the garden.

Hope to hear from others. Love & hugs to all.....xxxx
